Besides wandering around the woods, we go to the beach also (when we have time.) We much prefer the solitude of the winter over the summer crowds. Our favorite place to go is Island Beach State Park where the admission charge keeps most people out. Doing these things in the winter gives us time in the summer to do the thing that Matt likes best, bicycling. We both own GT all terrains. Bucks County is GREAT for bike riding, especially along the Canal. We ride through Tyler State Park every night Mon-Fri an hour or so, and we ride at least 3 to 4 hours along the canal on the weekends. on our other activities we have our differences: Paul likes to swim in any river or lake he can find (Matt does not) and Matt likes to rollerblade (Paul does not).
Not all of our interests are outside, however. We both spend time every day with either weight training or on a stair stepper. Also, we are both addicted to computers. Paul enjoys surfing the internet for two of his passions: the weather and the stock market. Matt is a telecommuter who enjoys doing his business programming stuff all day for his employer, but also enjoys dabbling in Visual Basic and other PC computing. Also, this was not a hobby or an interest, but Matt quit smoking in February. (That's why we're working out so much!!). He had smoked for 18 years!
And of course our biggest interest is our dog, Casey. He is a mixed breed, supposed to be Rottweiler and Shepherd, but he is only 71 pounds and sniffs around so much that we think he may be part beagle or some other bird-dog also. He was born around August 1, 1995 and what a time we had when he was a pup! People tell us that he should be neutered so that he will calm down, but he was neutered long ago. Here he is:
This is Casey when we first got him. The
day Matt picked him up from the pet store there were people watching and laughing.
An old woman standing outside the store asked Matt if he needed a hand
because she had never seen any puppy put up a fight like Casey was doing. How embarassing.

These are the woods behind our development.
If he ever gets away from us, no matter what time of year, this is where we will find him.
He likes swimming even more than Paul!

This was one of the MOST embarassing events
ever. It's a long story. If the quality of the image were any better, you might notice that
Santa's glasses are crooked (evidence of a fight) and that the table cloth upon which Casey sits
is messed up. Let's just say that many people got a good laugh that day and we almost
had to pay for some expensive phototgraphy equipment.

Here is Paul
struggling with Casey to get his antlers on. He was just too young and ornery. We just waited
until the next year when he was a little older:

So that's the story of our lives in a nutshell. We could offer political and moral pundits
here but we post that on another page (see "What can YOU do?" at the bottom.) Thank you for
spending time here, allowing us to give you a glimpse into our lives. If you have not done so,
please take a look at our other pages, listed at the bottom.
