Finance/Money
- Quicken - The popular home accounting software. Not only does
it help you balance your checkbook and plan your debt reduction, but provides online quotes for
tracking your portfolio.
- Suretrade - the cheapest stock trading around.
- Gay and Lesbian Personal Finance Association - just so we can keep
it in the family, eh?
Weather
- The Weather Channel - For weatherphiles like Paul, this is the
best weather local reporting to be found.
- CNN Weather - Excellent global weather reports.
Shareware/Freeware
- Filemine - Cool site for downloading stuff.
- Softseek - Another cool site for downloading stuff.
- ZDNet Hotfiles - Awesome site for downloading
all kinds of goodies AND for subscribing to free online newsletters. Matt rates this as the
best internet site out there.
Fun Stuff
- Real Player - A popular audio/video player for live internet
feeds. You can't surf without this!
- Live Radio stations - If you have
Real Player or a similar live internet feed player, this is
the most complete list of radio stations broadcasting over the internet.
- The Dysfunctional Family Circus - This is a really,
really naughty variety of The Family Circus cartoon strip. Comic panes are posted and surfers
are invited to provide the caption. Hilarious.
- Digital Camera Network - Take a global tour via webcams positioned
all over the world.
- Judy Ryan Sinkhole - This is a band that one of my co-workers
plays in. They are a very talented, hip young group and will be a huge success someday.
