Our travels

This is the Court building in Birmingham. There is a quote from Cicero on the building and the statue and the plaque were very moving. If anybody can email me the quote that is on that building, I would appreciate it. I have forgotten the entire quote and it really struck a chord in me. Thanks.

I didn't get any good shots at Kaw Lake in Oklahoma - I had hiked maybe a half mile when it sounded like I was surrounded by rattlers so I got the hell out of there. The hotel manager told me later that day that Kaw Lake was "full of rattlers this time of year". Duh.

I had to include this image - it is too funny. This is the Stateline Tavern in Oklahoma on the Kansas border. There is a big satellite dish, but no running water. Don't worry, ladies.... the women's outhouse is nicer than the men's - it has a roof and not as many gunshot holes.

This is me in Colorado where I had a nice view of the tops of the Rockies (And those were the hiking dogs, Zeus & Hera)
